Mega Property Exhibition from Jan 11-13

Our Bureau

The Promoters and Builders Association of Pune are hosting the Eighth Mega Property Exhibition from January 11 to January 13 at the SSPMS grounds. The exhibition would have 68 builders with over 300 projects on display.

Talking to presspersons, Mr Atul Goel, Chairman, PBAP Exhibition Committee, said they have tied up with a furniture store, Tangent and Dass Electrical, to offer Punekars who book a home at the exhibition a 5 to 15 per cent discount on consumer durables and furniture from these stores. The Divisional Commissioner, Dr Nitin Kareer, pointed out that while Pune had attracted 60 per cent of the investment that has come into the State what is vital for maintaining growth was infrastructure. He said that as a city grows, land becomes more and more expensive.

Under the Town Planning Scheme, policy makers were exploring the possibility of offering land owners 10 to 15 per cent of developed land in lieu of using their property for roads, or as the Gujarat Government has demonstrated, negotiate a market price payable to land owners would be more workable.
