New Delhi, Jan. 10

The Tata People’s car has been the subject of much speculation not just regarding its viability, but also its safety, emissions and even its very name. Mr Ratan Tata had the last laugh today and he used every opportunity he had to pepper his inaugural speech at the launch function today with pithy comments, attacking his critics. Talking about the rumours and silly names that were attributed to the one-lakh car, Mr Tata said that Dr Pachauri need not have sleepless n ights anymore and Ms Sunita Narain can sleep in peace, since both these environmentalists had been raising serious concerns about the car’s impact on pollution and road congestion.
