QAI plans hiking India headcount

Focus on specific industry verticals

The company would also address global markets and service the high-end IT training and education markets.

Ambar Singh Roy

Kolkata, Dec. 26 QAI India, a global major in enterprise-wide deployment of process initiatives that are aimed at contributing to an organisation’s operational and business excellence, is set to augment the headcount of its Indian operations from 150 at present to 400 within the next three years.

To facilitate its growth plans, the company will focus on specific industry verticals such as IT, BPO, KPO, BFSI and telecom.

Responding to a questionnaire from Business Line, Mr Navyug Mohnot, CEO of QAI India, said that the company would continue to evolve as the nucleus of its global operations.

Innovation, product development, formation on Internet marketing and global sales teams and development of new practices are currently taking place in India.

Edista Learning

According to Mr Mohnot, the company would also address global markets and service the high-end IT training and education markets. “Having trained over 70,000 people in instructor-led mode, QAI is now taking all its experience and IP and streaming it over the Net through the new initiative Edista Learning,” he said.

The company is focussed on facilitating enhanced competitiveness in software, BPO and other knowledge-intensive organisations through multi-faceted interventions in process improvement, be it business, engineering, people management or even IT. Its service offerings focus on people, processes and technology.

Global operations

QAI India has a presence in other geographies such as the US, Singapore, China, Malaysia and London. A multi-location presence enables it to innovatively distribute and manage engagements across locations. Sixty per cent of the company’s revenue is generated from its Indian operations.

Mr Mohnot said that after the large companies, QAI India has tailored “value propositions and focus interventions” in India to address the specific needs of the SME sector.
