Harbinger group opens new centre

Pune, Dec. 21

Pune-based Harbinger Group, provider of software products and services, has opened a new 135-seat centre here for innovative product development, content development and Web 2.0 technology. This is the company’s third facility in Pune with the total capacity being ramped up to to 350 seats. A growing product user base in 38 countries and increased offshore development activity have been the major factors behind the opening of the centre, Mr Vikas Joshi, Chairman an d Managing Director of Harbinger Group, said. He said that the centre would cater to the short-term growth plans of the group and have in place a growth plan for the medium term. This will result in doubling of the employee strength in Pune within the next couple of years. —
