Structured innovation yields results, he said, speaking at the Freescale Tech Forum where semiconductor firms gathered to exhibit their embedded products powered by Freescale Technologies. Wipro has defined 70 innovations in the last two years, which contributed to 11 per cent of its revenues. This will be taken to 20 per cent in the next two to three years, he said. Key trendsFreescale will focus on three key trends in India – energy conservation, healthcare products for the aging population and social networking and consumer electronics, shared Ms Jan Monney, Senior Vice-President, Business Operations and Corporate Communications, Freescale. The company will help its industry partners take advantage of market dynamics to develop products and designs. One of the products that India will soon see is the BMW X5, a sports car that boasts an adaptive drive feature, giving drivers the choice between a smooth drive and a sporty one. It uses Freescale’s FlexRay technology for in-vehicle networking, transferring data instantly between networked control devices and systems in the automobile.
