Ashok Leyland domestic sales dip


Chennai, Nov. 5

Ashok Leyland has reported domestic sales of 6,280 vehicles for October, lower by 512 vehicles compared with the domestic sales in October 2006. However, exports for the month were up 90 vehicles at 547 compared to October last year, according to a press release. The company produced 2,029 medium and heavy passenger vehicles and sold 1,740. It produced 3,775 medium and heavy goods vehicles and sold 5,034. Of the 69 light commercial vehicles produced this October, 51 were sold. —
