Financial Performance Corporate Results - Telecommunications
Our Bureau Mumbai, Oct. 31 Healthy growth across key business areas has enabled the Anil Ambani controlled Reliance Communications to post a 73.5 per cent rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 30. The company has reported a net profit of Rs 801.24 crore for the quarter compared with Rs 461.72 crore recorded in the corresponding period a year ago. Total income has increased by 17.2 per cent to Rs 3,329.21 crore (Rs 2,838.72 crore). Broadband business, which achieved a revenue growth of 61 per cent to Rs 437 crore, grew fastest on a year-on-year basis. New orders booked by the business during the quarter grew by 27 per cent over the preceding quarter, said a news release from the company. On a consolidated basis, the net profit has jumped by 85.7 per cent to Rs 1,304.57 crore (Rs 702.34 crore) while net revenues climbed to Rs 4,578.53 crore (Rs 3,525.98 crore).
