Milk prices gain

After ban lapses: A poultry farmer washing his cattle in a canal near Thrissur, Kerala. With the ban imposed on export of milk powder lapsing on September 30, prices of milk and its products have begun to gain. Milk powder prices have increased by at least Rs 10 a kg since the beginning of this month. The prices had declined sharply after the ban was clamped on February 9 and milk dairies were forced to lower their prices by Rs 3-4 a litre.–
