Sintex jumps as stake sale is over


The stock of Sintex Industries jumped 6.34 per cent on the BSE on Monday to Rs 367.90 against Friday’s close of Rs 345.95. According to brokers, the stock has moved up following the completion of the selling of the stake by Warbug Pincus in the company. The FII major had 26.42 per cent stake in the company at the end of June quarter through Lightwood Investment. The selling was done through secondary market operations on September 27 and September 28 and the buyers include SBI Mutual Fund, HDFC Trustee, ABN Amro Bank, HSBC Mutual, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch besides other domestic institutions.
