NCC-POSCO wins order
Hyderabad, Sept.19
Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCC) in consortium with POSCO E&C, of South Korea has bagged an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract valued at Rs 1,558 crores from Steel Authority of India (SAIL) for IISCO Steel Plant at Burnpur, West Bengal. The Pproject comprises of setting up of a Blast Furnace Complex to be completed over a period of 30 months, according to a press release from NCC, the Hyderabad-based infrastructure major. This will be the largest Bblast Ffurnace in India and would be based on tTechnology of POSCO E&C. Nagarjuna Construction Company share of the order is Rs 1,100 crores approximately, according to Mr A. Ranga Raju, Managing Director, NCC. - Our Bureau
