Telecommunications Corporate - Restructuring
New Delhi, Aug. 13 Bharti Airtel on Monday said it will hold separate meetings with shareholders and creditors on September 7 and 8, respectively for considering the transfer of its tower business to its wholly owned subsidiary Bharti Infratel Ltd. The move is aimed at unlocking the value of its mobile infrastructure. Recently Reliance Communications sold off 5 per cent equity in its tower company to seven investors for a whopping Rs 1,400 crore. Bharti is also likely to seek strategic inves tors once the tower business is hived off into a separate company. — Our Bureau
