Nokia CEO coming

New Delhi, Aug. 9 Mr Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, President and CEO of Nokia Corporation, will be visiting India from August 22-24.

During this three-day visit, he will be meeting with senior government officials, industry leaders, key Indian customers and partners and the Nokia SEZ component suppliers. Mr Kallasvuo will be spending a day each in Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai, respectively.

Other engagements on his schedule include a keynote on ‘Mobility: Catalysing development’ to senior Indian executives at a CEOs address organised in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry in New Delhi.

In addition, he will be attending an exclusive gathering of CEOs in Mumbai.

Commenting on his India visit, Mr D. Shivakumar, Vice-President and Managing Director, Nokia India, said: “India has emerged as the fastest growing telecom market in the world and the fourth largest market in Asia.

“Mr Kallasvuo’s visit to India is an important milestone and a demonstration of Nokia’s continued commitment to fuel the growth for mobility in India and develop it as a strategic resource hub.”
