Workshop on IT in textiles

Coimbatore, Aug. 3 Application of information technology in textile industry will come into focus at the one-day workshop-cum-exhibition on the subject being organised here on August 7 by the South India Textile Research Association (SITRA).

Mr T.K. Sarkar, Senior Director, and Mr Tara Sankar, Additional Director from the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, would chair the inaugural session along with Mr D. Krishnamoorthy, Vice-Chairman, SITRA.

According to a communication from SITRA, leading companies involved in textiles-related IT such as Datatex, Premier, Ramco, Cherrytec, Kalpatharu, Sudarshan, Sholingur Textiles and Indus would take part in the workshop as well as the exhibition.
