Meet on educating women investors

Chennai, Aug. 2 To educate women investors on the art of investing, a seminar is being organised in Chennai on August 4 by the Inner Wheel District 323.

Titled ‘Sampatti — Empowerment through Investment,’ the seminar will focus on the basics of investment planning, traditional forms of investments (bank deposits, real estate etc), equity as an investment choice and investment in mutual funds and portfolio management services.

Non-traditional avenues

Apart from the traditional avenues of investment, the session will also focus on investment in art and gems and jewellery. A simulation exercise is also planned as part of the event.

Scope Internationalwill partner with the Inner Wheel District 323 to organise the event. Experts from Standard Chartered Bank will address the seminar. Around 400 women, including Inner Wheel members, are expected to participate.
