New Delhi, July 30 Irdeto, content security software provider for digital TV, IPTV and mobile has appointed Mr Sanjiv Kainth as Country Manager, India and Head - South Asia.

Mr Kainth had worked with Onida, helped set up Thomson’s set-top box business in India, been Chairman of the Digital Broadcast Council of CETMA and represented the industry on the BIS panel for formulating the standards for DTH and Cable TV set-top boxes. The Dutch company recently expanded ties with Sun Networks, to provide security to the broadcaster’s Direct-to-Home services. .
