Owens Corning ties up with Anutone Acoustics

Our Bureau

Bangalore, July 18 Owens Corning, acoustical and building materials technology company, has tied up with Anutone Acoustics to promote jointly-branded architectural acoustic solutions throughout the South Asian and West Asian regions.

The agreement will focus on development, promotion and distribution of Owens Corning acoustical systems for professional and public environments.

These include offices, IT-enabled service spaces, hotels, convention centres and entertainment venues such as multiplex cinemas, nightclubs, discotheques and sports stadia.

Driving Demand

Mr Bijoy Mohan, General Manager, India and South-East Asia, Owens Corning, said that consumers’ higher expectations are driving the development of new, quality-led entertainment centres like multiplex cinemas.

These represent a major new market for acoustic wall and ceiling panels. These expectations are also driving demand for energy-efficient building products and advanced acoustic systems in offices, convention centres, hotels, and professional spaces.

The jointly-branded SoundSoftTM Respond acoustic wall and ceiling panels and SoundStretch Eurospan wide span acoustical ceiling systems and the SoundSmart QuietZone noise isolation systems will be part of a new portfolio of technically-advanced solutions.

Key Markets

Owens Corning will use its global reach to explore the business development potential for Anutone’s products in key markets outside the SAARC and GCC areas.
