PNB Tier-I bonds fully subscribed

New Delhi, July 16 Punjab National Bank (PNB) said on Monday that its perpetual Tier-I bonds issue aggregating Rs 500 crore to the bank has been fully subscribed. The bond offering, which was launched on July 12, carried an annual coupon rate of 10.4 per cent and also a rating of ‘AAA’ by Crisil and CARE. This is the largest perpetual bond issue in a single tranche by any bank since the guidelines issued by the RBI, a press release issued here by PNB said. —
