Tata Indicom unveils unlimited free local calls

Tata Indicom launched a prepaid card priced at Rs 325, offering unlimited free local calls to any Tata phone.
The card will offer calls to other mobile networks at 49 paise a minute and has a validity period of 30 days.
Local calls to other fixed lines would cost 99 paise per minute while STD calls will cost Rs 2.4 per minute.
"This card is targeted at our existing as well as new customers," said Mr Naresh Malhan, President-Consumer Business, Tata Teleservices.
The company has applied for licences for operation in the North East and Jammu and Kashmir. It is targeting a subscriber base of 100 million by 2011.
