New Delhi June 12 The Union Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, said on Tuesday that the 13.6 per cent year-on-year industrial growth for April was a "satisfactory start," though it was "too early to draw conclusions" for the entire fiscal based on one month's data. Mr Chidambaram expressed concern over textiles and paper, "which are not doing well," and said, "we will look into the difficulties faced by them." Mr Chidambaram told reporters here that neither the Government nor the central bank wanted to sharply reduce demand in every sector of the economy. "The intention is to constrain demand in those sectors where there are signs of what you call overheating. An example is real estate and housing. In these sectors, I think there is already some reduction in demand."
