The Hindu Business Line : Oracle launches Lite 10g

Oracle has announced the general availability of the Lite 10g Release 3. Comprising a Mobile Server and a mobile relational database, Oracle Database Lite 10g Release 3 helps users reliably and securely exchange data with a corporate database; enables application, device and user provisioning and provides centralised management tools.

Additionally, the latest release includes automatic synchronisation that enables data to be synchronised bidirectionally without user intervention so mobile users can work seamlessly whether or not they are connected to the network. Oracle Database Lite 10g Release 3 is priced at $20,000 per processor for the Mobile Server with unlimited use of the mobile database.
