TCS offers 1,100 jobs in Orissa

Our Bureau

Kolkata, June 5

More than 1,100 students from 10 engineering colleges in Orissa were made job offers from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in the current recruitment season, the largest in the history of campus recruitments in the State by TCS as well as any IT services company, says a press release.

Nearly 65 per cent of these offers were made to students from four leading colleges in the State - Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology & Science, Bhubaneswar; ITER, Bhubaneswar and College of Technology & Engineering, Bhubaneswar.

The record recruitment, nearly eight times the offers made in the previous year, establishes Orissa as a major source of engineering talent in the country for the IT major, which already has operations at Bhubaneswar since 2001, adds the release.
