New US Tech campus to house 12,000 pros

Thiruvananthapuram May 22 US Technology, a leading IT and BPO player based in Technopark, has announced that the proposed 36-acre campus within the Technopark premises will be able to house triple the current strength of over 4,000 associates.

This will make it one of the largest IT hubs for a single company in Kerala, a spokesperson for the company said. The new campus will have a built-up area of 16 lakh sq ft that will be completed in three phases.

The new campus will stand out for its unique architectural style, ambient workspaces and eco-friendly operations. It will provide a serene IT campus environment, complemented by landscaped courtyards and public spaces.

A major highlight will be `connected' buildings that enable people to work together easily. Pavilions in the external environment will provide informal meeting and reflection spaces.

"The US Technology campus represents our commitment to making Kerala a hub of IT services excellence," says Mr Sajan Pillai, President and Chief Operating Officer. "The campus would be a centrepiece of our strategy to provide a highly advanced work environment to become hyper competitive in global markets."

The campus is designed to be energy-efficient in operations and development. It will minimise water and electricity use, while maximising water recycling and natural energy. Natural light and ventilation will be made maximum use of, making innovative use of landscaping for shading effect.
