Rural games begin in Srikakulum

Hyderabad, May 22

The district-wise rural games being jointly organised by the Consortium of Indian Farmers Associations (CIFA) and Thums Up took off in Srikakulum on Tuesday . The Additional Superintendent of Police, Mr D.K. Mishra, formally inaugurated the sports meet at Kodi Rama Murthy Stadium, according to a release issued here. A good number of players from different parts of the district were expected to participate in various competitions in kabbadi, sack-carrying race (for men) and Rangoli and short-distance races (for women) during the two-day meet.
