e-filing of returns mandatory for partnership firms

New Delhi April 29 Electronic filing of income-tax returns has become mandatory for more categories of taxpayers.

The Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, announced on Saturday that all partnership firms liable to tax audit would have to file their returns electronically for assessment year 2007-08 (financial year 2006-07).
