Outlook Kinetic Engg targets Rs 500-cr turnover Our Bureau
Pune April 5 Kinetic Engineering expects to do business of Rs 160 crore this year, and is targeting a turnover of Rs 500 crore by 2009-10. The company has built up a client roster that includes Tata Motors, Force Motors and several international companies from Canada, the US and Europe, including Bombardier Recreational Products, Carraro, Visteon, GKN Rockford, Piaggio, Electrolux, and MV Agusta, a company statement said. Ms S. F. Motwani, Director of Kinetic Engineering Ltd, has said, "Our restructuring, which included a successful one-time-settlement to lenders, a VRS at our plant, fresh investments from Reliance Capital and Clearwater Capital Partners and sale of two wheeler activities to Kinetic Motor, has been completed. We are now going full steam to maximise the immense opportunity in auto-component manufacturing." The company's products include small engines up to 500 cc for two-wheelers and recreational products such as ATVs or jetski, complete gearboxes for automobiles, earth moving equipment, and commercial vehicles; and a wide array of precision components focused on engine and transmission components. For the 15-months ending December 31, 2006, Kinetic Engineering has reported a net profit of Rs 5.14 crore.
