M&M Feb sales up 19.2%

Mumbai, March 1

For February, Mahindra & Mahindra's (M&M) auto sector has posted domestic and export sales of 13,746 vehicles (11,536 units), registering a growth of 19.2 per cent over February 2006. Domestic sales for February were up 17.6 per cent with sales touching 13,266 units (11,279 units). The flagship model, Scorpio, has clocked domestic and export sales of 2,637 units (2,322 units), registering a growth of 14 per cent over the corresponding month last fiscal.

M&M's farm equipment sector has posted a growth of 7 per cent with sales of 7,003 units that include exports over corresponding period last fiscal. Exports dipped by 11 per cent with volumes touching 553 units (622 units).
