YSR reviews rural fund progress

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, reviewed the progress of Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) under Nabard and directed the Roads and Buildings Department to speed up works. He asked the department to initiate surfacing works for all existing roads by March 31 next year. The Chief Minister said that the Nabard would be requested to extend the RIDF IX by another six months so that all the pending projects would be completed ahead of monsoon. He said Nabard would be requested to extend the scheme by another year.
