Coimbatore Feb. 27 The non-increase of freight rates would help the industries which are extensively using railway's goods services. The Railways' decision to enhance the number of ordinary passenger coaches would also boost the facility for daily travellers to business/trade centres, the Tirupur Exporters Association has said.

Welcoming the Union Railway Minister for maintaining the status quo in passenger fairs, the association President, Mr A. Sakthivel, also lauded the Ministry for its proposal to introduce triple stack container trains on diesel route shortly. The announcement on booking of reservation at ATM centres, call centres and petrol bunks is timely.
