Idea slashes roaming rates

Idea Cellular Ltd on Thursday announced that it has slashed national roaming tariffs by nearly 56 per cent for all pre-paid and post paid subscribers. This is in line with the new directive of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), which is effective from February 15.

According to a statement from Idea, no roaming rentals will be charged for both pre-paid and post paid subscribers and additional surcharge of 15 per cent on roaming airtime will be removed.
