Microsoft team meets Reddy

Hyderabad Feb. 22 The Chief Research and Strategic Officer, Microsoft Corporation, Mr Craig Mundie, along with the Country Head (Public sector), Microsoft India, Mr. Rohit Kumar, and other senior members from Microsoft team called on the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, on Thursday and conveyed their interest in imparting basic computing skills in school going children.

According to a statement from the Chief Minister's Office, Mr Mundie informed the Chief Minister about Microsoft plans to provide training and software development projects to students in the State. This is with the intent of skill development on next generation Microsoft tools and technologies, including .NET.

Dr Reddy called upon the Microsoft team to propagate the benefits of information technology to rural parts of the State in the fields of education, health and agriculture and assured them of all support required from the Government in their endeavours.
