Aptech net up 94% at Rs 1.65 cr

Mumbai Feb. 2 Aptech Ltd said that its consolidated net profit increased by 94.11 per cent for the quarter ended December 31, 2006. Net profit amounted to Rs 1.65 crore against Rs 0.85 crore recorded in the corresponding year-ago period.

The company posted net revenues of Rs 44.07 crore (Rs 39.04 crore) representing a 12.88 per cent increase year-on-year. For the year ended December 31, 2006, the company's consolidated net profit fell by 61.4 per cent at Rs 16.9 crore (Rs 43.82 crore).

On a standalone basis, the company's net loss narrowed to Rs 3.4 crore from Rs 50.8 crore in the corresponding year-ago period. The company's standalone net loss for the year ended December 31, 2006, has narrowed to Rs 6.6 crore (Rs 32.24 crore).
