The official Web site of Kerala Tourism, designed and maintained by Invis Multimedia, has won the `award of excellence' instituted by the Union Ministry of Tourism. The award is for the `most innovative use of information technology/best tourism website/portal' during 2005-06. The Web site had won the award earlier during 2000-01 and 2002-03 and Kerala Tourism is the first among the state tourism departments in the country to receive the award. Invis Multimedia said the site currently has more than 2GB of data on Kerala and receives around four million hits with over one lakh visitors and five lakh page views a month.
