Bajaj launches gearless scooter

Hyderabad, Jan. 29

Two-wheeler major Bajaj Auto today announced the launch of Kristal, an gearless scooter, which was previewed at the 2006 Auto Expo. The all-new four-stroke 95 cc Kristal comes with the DTSi technology along with ExhausTEC for a superior pickup and mileage.

The company maintained that the scooter develops 7.2 ps of power and is ideal for dense traffic conditions. The Vice-President of Marketing and Sales, Mr S. Sridhar, in a statement said Kristal was an outcome of consumer feedback expressing shortcomings of the existing un-geared scooter options. The bike is priced at Rs 35,300 ex-showroom in Hyderabad.
