Oscillatory ventilator launched

Shreeyash Electro Medicals, a Pune-based manufacturer of neonatal intensive care equipment, has launched a servo controlled high frequency oscillatory ventilator for treatment of respiratory disorders amongst newborns. The new product named `Dragonfly' that has been developed after four years of research.

The company is the sole manufacturer of neonatal ventilators in the country, and only the second in the world to manufacture the HFOV, Mr Sudhir Waghmare, chief executive said. The indigenous product costs Rs 7 lakh, less than half of the imported machine.
