Public Sector Banks States - Andhra Pradesh UCO Bank plans to open six more branches in AP Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Dec. 28 UCO Bank plans to open at least six branches in Andhra Pradesh soon. The bank has opened a new branch at Warangal, taking the total to 38 at present in the State. The new branch at the market yard in Warangal was inaugurated by Mr Ravindra Dharavath Naik, MP. Mr V.P. Singh, General Manager, UCO Bank from Kolkata and Mr Ripan Murgai, Regional Manager, AP, participated in the inaugural event. The Warangal branch would be under the core banking solution (CBS) network straightaway. It is expected to give a thrust to financing agriculturists and traders in farm products, according to a press release from the bank. CBS has also been implemented in some of the major branches of the bank in the State. The total business achieved by UCO Bank in the AP Region as on September 30, 2006 was Rs 3,576 crore, against the total business of Rs 97,564 crore.
