TEST FOR SINGUR JOBS: Tata Motors officials conducting an exam with the help of the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation in Singur on Monday.

Twenty-four candidates, chosen from the families whose land has been acquired for the proposed Tata Motors car project, appeared for the examination. Only candidates with ITI degrees or its equivalent were eligible for the test. After clearing the test, the candidates will go to Jamshedpur for further training before joining the company.

The State Government is also running training centres for women and others whose land has been acquired.
