Kalam to open Telecom 2006

The President, Mr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, will inaugurate India Telecom 2006 to be held here on December 14 by Department of Telecommunications (DoT). Over 200 companies would be participating in the international exhibition and conference.

Mr Dayanidhi Maran, Union Minister of Communications and Information Technology, will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural session. Dr Shakeel Ahmad, Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, will also be present. The three-day event is being organised in association with FICCI and Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association.
