Reliance's no-charge STD package

Reliance Communications has introduced an STD package whose distinctive feature consists of no charge on Reliance-to-Reliance phone calls between 11 p.m and 6 a.m. For this facility the customer will have to spend Rs 675 every 30 days on an STD Call Card. In addition to this validity period, the card has a rollover period of 15 days.

All calls made at other times of the day will cost Re 1 a minute. The talktime value on the card is Rs 601. The card is targeted at couples and families that stay apart and want to have regular and long conversations, said a statement from the company. BPO employees active in the night and hostel students are some of the target groups. The STD card can by used by pre-paid as well as post-paid customers of the company.
