Airtel voice SMS in Kerala

Our Bureau

Kochi, Nov. 21

Airtel has announced the launch of Voice SMS in Kerala, which enables the users to message in their own voice and in the language of their choice. It is a short voice message service based on the `talk and listen' messaging alternative, to the `type and read' text messaging service provided by SMS. Mr Vikas Singh, COO, Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel Ltd, said that Voice SMS would complement its SMS service and provide another convenient and easy-to-use messaging option. The service is nominally charged at 75 paise per minute. Airtel customers on receiving a Voice SMS can hear it free of cost for the first time.
