Our Bureau

Chennai, Nov. 15

TVS Electronics, a Chennai-based IT peripheral manufacturer, has launched a printer for nine Indian languages, including Devnagari, Tamil and Kannada, with built-in Unicode support.

Unicode is a character code that defines every character in most of the speaking languages in the world. Through the launch, the company plans to target a wide range of applications in multi-lingual printing requirements with government departments, educational institutions and research organisations. It expects an additional five per cent growth to its market share in the dot matrix printer category in India. The MSP 450 Champion and MSP 455 XLC models are priced at Rs 10,000 and Rs 13,000 respectively.
