Gini & Jony opens 4 new factories

Mumbai , Sept. 27

Gini & Jony Apparel Pvt Ltd has announced the opening of four new factories — two in Daman, measuring 80,000 sq ft and 20,000 sq ft and two in Baddi in Himachal Pradesh measuring 70,000 sq ft and 20,000 sq ft respectively. These new facilities offer a total production capacity of two million units per annum.

"This expansion in capacity is in line with our aim of consolidating our position as the premium kids and teens lifestyle brand in India," a press release quoting Mr Prakash Lakhani, Managing Director, Gini and Jony Apparel Pvt Ltd, said.Gini & Jony has also acquired the licence to distribute the children's wear range from United Colours of Benetton, Reebok Apparel and Reebok Footwear. The company already has the licence to design and produce Levis Sykes Junior, which was launched with a range of sporty street and casual wear for boys.

The brand recently announced a joint venture with Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd.
