Kwality Group looks to expand, consolidate

New Delhi , Sept. 27

The Delhi-based Rs 70-crore Kwality Group has made consolidation its agenda in order to meet the requirements of the demanding Indian customer.

"Restructuring is the need of the hour. If one wants to beat the prevalent cut-throat competitions in the industry, one has to be dynamic," said Mr Dhruv Lamba, Executive Director, Kwality Group.

In an effort to expand its brands Bread and More, Chopsticks Express and Kwality Express, the Group is looking at setting up shop in new destinations such as in hospitals and on highways, along with its presence in the various malls across the country.

It is already in an alliance with Sri Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi, where it has opened an outlet each of its bakery and confectionary chain, Bread and More, and Chopsticks Express, its oriental cuisine chain.

The Group has also opened outlets of Kwality Express and Chopsticks Express in the kiosk format on the Delhi-Chandigarh highway. It is also planning to open other outlets on the Delhi-Agra, Delhi-Jalandhar and Delhi-Jaipur highways.

"We are also looking at a franchisee format for the expansion of all the three Express chains. Further, space for a central kitchen has already been identified in Delhi and the work is going to begin. This will act as a backbone of the franchisee format, which will start operating in the coming year," said Mr Lamba.
