The jointly developed product is the first such customised e-learning tool for IP in companies. It targets IT, telecom and ITES, pharma and biotechnology, manufacturing and engineering sectors that generate intellectual wealth and also handle customers' IP, Mr Kalyan C. The first module under the Value IPR co-brand is called `Impact on business' to gear up all employees of a company on the need and value of a company's IP, Mr Kankanala said. An access at Rs 1 lakh for a year would have interactive feature, voice-over, online experts and certification by both the partners. Retail access is also planned, they said.

The tool would be upgraded each year and the future offers would include training for patent agents and industry-specific content for life sciences, semiconductor, software and manufacturing sectors, they said.

Edutech, the marketing partner, was looking at a domestic market of Rs 10 crore and would take the tool to the US, Europe, West Asia and Asia-Pacific.
