Emtex Industries (India) Ltd, a manufacturer and exporter of textiles, has registered a loss of Rs 6.52 crore for the year ending March 31 2006, from a loss of Rs 11.74 crore last year.

Emtex had fallen on hard times in the recent past. Litigation with United Western Bank crippled the company and it went from a Rs 230-crore company in 2001 to a Rs 40-crore company in 2006. In the year ended March 31 2005, the company recorded a turnover of Rs 36 crore.
