Empee Sugars earns higher net

Chennai, April 26

Empee Sugars and Chemicals Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 3.60 crore on an income of Rs 22.92 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. During the corresponding period in the previous year the company reported a net profit of Rs 2.83 crore on an income of Rs 25.66 crore. According to a press release from the company that quoted its chairman, Mr M.P. Purushothaman, the outlook for the coming quarter and the sugar season is encouraging.
