Rain Calcining deploys new turbine

Hyderabad, April 11

Rain Calcining Ltd has informed BSE that a new turbine rotor developed by Siemens (formerly ABB), Sweden has been procured and installed at a cost of about Rs 15 crore. The initial test runs have been successfully completed and the power cogeneration plant is now back operating at its normal capacity of 49 MW. With the power plant resuming its normal operations at 49 MW, the company expects both the petroleum coke calcining and power cogeneration plants to operate at optimum levels to meet the increasing demand for calcined petroleum coke and electricity.
