ISO 27001 for Satyam

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: Satyam Computer Services on Wednesday announced it has received the ISO 27001 — the new ISMS standard after the BS 7799 certification, for its global facilities by BVQI, UK.

The certificate is the latest recognised industry standard for benchmarking Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) for organisations. It is the latest version over the earlier BS 7799 certification. With this, Satyam joins the select list of global IT companies that have been assessed at ISO 27001. Satyam also becomes the first organisation in Australia to receive this certification.
