ICICI Bank home loans rate hike from Feb 13

ICICI Bank Ltd, the largest private sector bank in the country, raised interest rates on home loans by 50 basis points, or half a percentage point, effective February 13. Loans at fixed interest rates will cost 9.5 per cent and those at floating rates between 7.75 per cent and 8.5 per cent, a spokesman of the bank said.

For the existing customers, the floating rate will come into effect only from April 1.
