Now, control TV viewing, even live programmes

SKIP all the commercials and watch your favourite saas-bahu entire serial within minutes. Or watch a replay of your favourite shot in cricket when the live match is going on.

Pune-based K.e.e.n. Pvt Ltd, wholly owned subsidiary of k.e.e.n. Inc of the US, has announced the launch of their flagship product Wizo - a concept in home entertainment, which will help people to completely control how and when they watch TV.

Wizo is a digital video recorder, which can record all your favourite TV programmes even when you are away at work.

The technology has been developed by Mr Anil Gupte, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of K.e.e.n Inc.

Mr Milind Pandit, Managing Director of K.e.e.n., talking about the product said for customer convenience seven models with varying ranges of programming time is being brought out.

The base model, with a price tag of Rs 19,950, has a programming time of 40 hours and the end of the range stands at Rs 33,000 for 125 hours of record time.

The base model would allow to store as many as 15 movies, five days of cricket, 75 episodes of serial at one time. Upgrade scan provides up to 250 hours of programming.

Wizo also has the ability to pause, rewind or fast forward any programme even Live TV.

And all this is available at the touch of a button, just a normal remote control.

Currently the company has tied up with 75 channels. Additionally, movies that are hard to find are available on the TV by using the broadband facility as iCinema.com, their own Web site, allows customers to download their favourite movies.

He said the roll out has just begun in Pune and would be made available in all the metros soon.

K.e.e.n. Inc has been operational in the US since September 1997 and has created other brands such as Max Network and Geolocus. Max Network was sold in April 2004.
