People Luethi to retire from Jet Air; Kingshott appointed Chief Commercial Officer Our Bureau
Mumbai , Jan. 6 JET Airways has said that its Chief Operating Officer, Mr Peter Luethi, will retire at the end of April when his three-year contract ends. The airline said that it does not propose to fill in this position following Mr Luethi's retirement. He will relocate to the US on retiring from Jet Airways. Jet Airways has also announced the appointment of Mr Garry Kingshott, an Australian national, as Chief Commercial Officer, effective March. He would report to the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, an official release said. Mr Kingshott has over 31 years of corporate experience, with 10 years in the airline industry. He would oversee the areas of marketing and sales, commercial, airport services, and all aspects of customer service, in the domestic and international markets. Mr Kingshott has served across industry segments including food processing, advertising, travel services, IT & T and financial services. Prior to his appointment at Jet, he has served as CEO - Melbourne Convention Visitors Bureau. Prior to this, he has served as Executive Director, Jeekay Pty Ltd Consulting Services; CEO, Ansett International; General Manager, Marketing and Sales, South Australian Brewing Company Ltd; and Sales & Product Manager, Johnson and Johnson Pty Ltd, among others.
